MY7THLIFE

Recalling the dream.

I had a dream last night… A dream about Bapa. He looked youthful, with a healthy head of hair. He returned home with Babu, supposedly from a trip to the UK.

Then I found myself in the front passenger’s seat of a brand new, white Pajero, and Bapa was driving. I remember thinking to myself, “Tsk. Bapa and his love for big cars.”

Sorry about the flood of longdistancethings post! But it’s just too true, and even though I’m not in a long-distance relationship anymore, it still feels relevant. Because he’s done this particular thing (above) for my 26th birthday two months ago.
Sigh. :(

WHERE IS MY DEATHLY HALLOWS BOOK??? Sigh. I might just have to purchase another copy. Even my Half-Blood Prince book sleeve is missing… #HarryPotter #DeathlyHallows #sad #angry #denial #acceptance (Taken with Instagram at Nain)

This is so sad. :’( My heart and prayers go out to the people of Bahrain, and also Yemen, and Libya.

My heart is broken. I can’t stop crying. There is a young 20-something in this video who has been plummeted with bullets by the police and his elder brother is kissing his forehead as he lies there dead. This is what the Bahrain army is doing to its people right now.

GRAPHIC WARNING. Cannot stop crying. Although I agree with Marisa about posting images of the massacred bodies as disrespectful to the martyrs, I also believe it causes people to stop and think instead of just ignoring the situation. The international community is forced to recognize it, versus situations like Bosnia where 9000 men and boys were taken to a forest and shot under the nose of the United Nations peacekeeping forces where the world saw nothing at all and could go about blissfully ignoring the genocide. I believe awareness is important. :/

I…don’t even know what to say.

I fail to understand how you can do this to another human being. Don’t tell me that people act differently when placed in a certain situation. Don’t tell me that I would do the same under similar circumstances.
How can you inflict this pain on someone else? How can you possibly justify doing this to someone’s brother, father, son, husband? HOW can you dehumanize someone to this extent?
