Running Man episode 96

Oh, wow. Where do I even start? I was already very excited about Park Ji Sung coming on to Running Man ever since I found out. I am a big fan of Manchester United (thanks to my late dad —- I miss you, Pa!), and I am an even bigger fan of Running Man. I’m even torn between who’s luckier to be on the show, Park Ji Sung, or the Running Man to ‘run’ with Park Ji Sung! LOL!

Episode 95 had me all geared up for this week’s episode, and it did not disappoint.

(Spoilers ahead! :))

First, let me just say, I never knew that Park Ji Sung was SO adorable! He was really funny, and definitely adapted to variety quite fast! It felt like he was a part of Running Man since day 1. (The ‘lazy header’ was one of the funniest scenes on the pitch!)

Second, I know he’s got his football skills and all, but I never knew he was that good. Going against seven players who had ‘superpowers’ (Ji Sung was his own team without a superpower, along with the lone Gwang Soo — who was bestowed a superpower), the Running Man members definitely did not stand a chance against him. Although they did show very good efforts, especially with their use of superpowers, nearly beating Ji Sung team.

Third, I loved his laugh! I also loved the fact that he was a certified Runner. He claimed that he watches Running Man with fellow French teammate, Patrice Evra.

There was also quite a few Manchester United references (Running Man members mentioning Sir Alex Ferguson, Wayne Rooney, and the likes), which just fanned my inner fangirl fire. (LOL!)

For the first time, I felt that an idol’s presence in the form of IU was overshadowed by another non-idol guest. It was somewhat refreshing, but I couldn’t help but adore IU as well. She was sooo cute in this episode!

I can’t help but gush at how amazing this episode was… It even trampled over the Running Man VS Big Bang episodes. I think this became my most favourite episode in the history of Running Man, taking the title away from the 1st episode and the episodes where Yong Hwa was a guest in.

I was laughing the whole time, I even had to pause to catch my breath because my sister and I were laughing too much. (I watched with my sister, by the way.)

The spy twist at the end was unexpected! I know I’ve gotten a bit bored by the spy concept, but having it like this in this episode is amazing. It’s better to leave it at the end rather than telling the viewers firsthand that there’s a spy in the midst.

Fellow football players Rio Ferdinand and Jong Tae Se are coming on in the next episode in Thailand! It should be amazing, though I don’t know how they will top this episode!
